School of Ministry

The purpose of the school is,
1) teach the bible,
2) make better disciples,
3) equip the saints for ministry service,
4) develop character to endure ministry,
5) release into ministry within the church or from the church

What does equip mean? Prepare with knowledge and experience for ministry service

Study objective : equip for ministry. establish solid foundation. teach discipleship skills. incl. and esp. character development

Study method : class meetings with lecture, discussion, video, homework, some written work, student presentations, tests and quizzes, practicums.

Given that the study goal allows for varying specialities, there will be both shared group studies as well as individual study aimed at their specialty focus.

Books : study bible, workbooks or study guides, some resource books. The curriculum would largely come from the many studies and sermons I’ve done over the last five years here. And select books such as that Rose Discipleship book. And a lot of bible reading and study. Part of the curriculum would consist of hands-on community servant evangelism.

Calendar : Hold class 2x / week at 4 pm. therefore, 2 courses per week, 8 weeks each with a 2-3 week break afterwards. 2 credits awarded for each.

Cost: By offering, minimum $5 / course

Why At AGCC? (there are so many schools already and churches that have one)
We believe that God placed us in the family of our local church. And that is where He intends to train us and release us for the work of His Kingdom either in the local church or from the local church. Spiritual education must include training in relationship building to be used in the ministry pursuit. The Approved Workman must also demonstrate godly character.
