Hebrews 11: 8-13 ...By faith Abraham...

Few men had faith as great as Abraham. God called him to
leave his home in Ur, travel to a promised land and begin a
mighty nation. He was comfortable in his hometown. Why
should he risk everything and head into the unknown? Such
a bold step occurs only through faith. What if Abraham had
known at the beginning that he would never see the fruits of
his labor? Many generations passed before it was clear that a
great nation was being formed. It took faith to persevere to the end.

Is your faith being tried right now?

Perhaps you do not see the need for greater involvement in the things of God? Perhaps you are weary and feel you need a rest. Believers often do struggle with the call that God has on their life as a Christian. He may have even called you to begin something or to increase your service. This is testing your faith.

Are you suffering financially right now? This is testing your faith.

Are you struggling in your faith of God’s promise under the weight of the world?

When you struggle, consider Abraham. Keep your focus on your faith. God will see you through your time of trial and will also show you even greater things as you are faithful in all things.

Consider the Prophet
Jeremiah (33:1-3) - he was imprisoned and heard this promise: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.

Jesus sees the faith of the
leper Mt 8:1-3, the centurion Mt 8:13 (recognized authority) And Jesus said to the centurion, Go thou. And as thou have believed, be it done to thee. And his boy was healed in that hour.

>>Look not at the results to create your faith. Faith is not built by results. Results come
because of faith.

Faith has different ‘flavors’, ‘colors’, appearances, manifestation.

Faith is inside our heart, seen by God. It is hard to measure. Works borne of faith is one way but it is maybe an inadequate picture.

Who Is It That Gives Us Our Faith? Who is it we are depending on?

Jesus’ actions said, "I know you do believe, and the power you believe in shall be exerted for you;
According to your faith be it unto you."

(1.) His knowledge of the sincerity of their faith: It is a great comfort to true believers, that Jesus Christ knows their faith, and is well pleased with it. Though it be weak, though others do not discern it, though they themselves are ready to question it, it is known to him. AMEN?!

(2.) His insisting upon their faith as necessary; "If you believe, take what you come for." They who apply themselves to Jesus Christ, shall be dealt with according to their faith; not according to their fancies, nor according to their profession, but according to their faith; that is, unbelievers cannot expect to find any favour with God, but true believers may be sure to find all that favour which is offered in the gospel; and our comforts ebb or flow, according as our faith is stronger or weaker;

Conclusion

According to your faith let it be done for you.

{hear this} It is the faith God has given you, exercised by you, wherein we trust God to accomplish His Will for us. Where we believe He is able do it. We come into agreement with His will for us. We ask if He is willing. We plead with Him. We obey His call on our life.

According to your faith let it be done for you.

God is sovereign. If we have times of weak faith He is still there. Faith that is proud cannot be honored by God. It is even contrary to what faith really is. At the very least it is faith in self - the wrong thing. Faith results are not necessarily immediate. Look at the length of time before Abraham saw the results of his faith. In fact, he died before seeing the promises. We have faith not because of seeing the fruit or promises. We have faith because it is God’s Will for us. We desire to please God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. We live to please God, not gain earthly rewards.
