A Righteous Lifestyle

How can we say that it will always fail?

To fail to abide in Christ is to walk after the flesh.
Anytime we do things on our own, it is sin, regardless
of how good our actions may appear.

Romans 14:23
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his
eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.

Hebrews 11:6
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Christians can engage in endless debates over right or wrong. Even good behavior which isn’t an expression of Christ within us is sin. Wow!

Our good deeds without faith do not please God. Why? How? Because the fruit is coming from the wrong tree!

Don’t ask: “Would it be wrong for me to do this?” rather ask, “Am I abiding in Christ at this moment?”
An unsaved person evaluates behavior on the basis of a right/wrong value system. But the lifestyle of a Christian is to flow from the activity of Christ. If the lifestyle of a Christian is built around a value system, there is little difference between that and the lifestyle of an unbeliever.

Consider that our Country’s demise of values is not a drifting from the 10 Commandments but a drifting from Jesus Christ. Apart from Christ, can any nation observe God’s commandments? (no) America cannot be saved by a return to the 10 Commandments anymore than an unbeliever can be saved by good behavior! The only answer is Jesus abiding in us.
